Kip Schreck and his two partners launched Applied Micro, a computer and networking company working with both businesses and individual consumers, in 1993.
The company grew organically, but decided to move into the Incubator in 2002 to increase their service area and offerings. They started with one small suite, grew to two suites and since moving out of the incubator in 2011, they now have offices in Platteville, Lancaster and Dodgeville.
In his 25 years in business, Kip credits Applied Micro’s success to paying attention to the details and to using a solid business plan to provide a measurable, strategic framework for growth. Kip credits the Incubator with giving Applied Micro a great business environment and the fluid space to grow as the business evolved.
